Substations Unit

The Coral Springs Substations Unit is the Police Department's community policing unit. The Unit consists of four officers. The Unit's primary focus is to address quality of life issues in the Northwest and Northeast Districts of the City. Though they focus on these Districts, they assist in all areas of the City. The officers work out of two substations--one located at 3540 N.W. 114th Lane and the other at 4138 N.W. 88th Avenue. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to, tracking subjects on probation, Section 8 housing issues, and tracking crime trends in the areas. They also work with Code Enforcement to ensure adherence to City Ordinances in their areas. The officers' knowledge of the areas and relationships with the communities they serve are a valuable tool in assisting the Police Department and improving quality of life throughout the City.

The Substations Unit is headed by Sergeant Bill Floyd. He can be reached at (954) 346-1763 or via e-mail wlf@coralsprings.org.
