TRAFFIC FATALITY 8000 BLOCK W. SAMPLE ROAD

On Sunday, September 09, 2001 at approximately 4:00 AM, the Coral Springs Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at the 8000 block of W. Sample Road. According to witnesses, a 43-year-old Haitian male was crossing West Sample Road when a 1998 Ford Ranger operated by Alejandro J. Lopresti age 32 of Coral Springs struck him in the westbound lane. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. Attempts are being made to contact next of kin. If anyone witnesses the crash they are asked to contact P.O. Saxon at 346-1749. The investigation is continuing.

UPDATE
The pedestrian was identified as Jean Sergo Pierre of the 4103 #3 Riverside Drive.
