POLICE LOOKING FOR PUBLIC'S HELP IN ID'ING ROBBERY SUSPECT

Coral Springs Police are requesting the help of the public in identifying a suspect who injured an 83 year-old woman during a strong-arm robbery on May 21, 2001. The strong-arm robbery took place at the Coral Square Mall in the parking lot between JC Penney's and Burdines at around 1:30 PM while the victim was walking to her car.

According to the victim and witnesses, a white male about 30 years-old, 5'04", 140 lbs ran up to the victim, snatched her purse from her shoulder, and knocked her down breaking her arm in the process. The suspect then jumped into a small newer model 2-door red or maroon car with tinted windows that was driven by an unknown driver and fled the area.
