MAN ARRESTED ON COMPUTER PORN CHARGES

On April 4, 2001, Coral Springs Police arrested a man who had made arrangements to meet a detective posing as a 14 year old girl in an America On-Line (AOL) chat room for the purpose of having sex. Arrested was Kenneth P. Holton, 1469 SW Dyer Point Rd, Palm City, Florida, DOB 12/07/58 on charges of Computer Pornography, Attempted Lewd and Lascivious Battery, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

A detective from the Sex Crimes Unit logged on to an AOL chat room last week and received messages from Holton that he would like to meet "her" for the purpose of sexual activity. A time and place was arranged and Holton drove from his residence (followed by deputies from St. Lucie and Martin Counties) to Coral Springs. When Holton arrived at the meeting place he was arrested. Marijuana and a pipe were found during a search of Holton's car.
