CORAL SPRINGS TEENAGER'S DEATH UNDER INVESTIGATION

On June 1, 2001 at approximately 2:50 PM, a car with two teenagers drove up to the Emergency Room entrance of Coral Springs Medical Center with another teen in the backseat who was unconscious. One of the teenagers approached a police officer who happened to be at the hospital on another call, and told him that they needed help with one of their friends. The officer looked inside the car and saw the unresponsive third teen in the back seat. The teen was brought into the Emergency Room where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The death is currently under investigation. The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner's Office at a later date.

The teenager has been identified as John Harding, age 17, of Coral Springs.
