Since 1981, Bruce White’s sculptures have been purchased for public spaces in Illinois, Iowa, Texas, Alabama, North Carolina, Michigan and Florida.  Recently in Florida, his work has been exhibited at a “Season of Sculpture’ in Sarasota and Riverwalk in Jacksonville.  White is a professor in the School of Art at Northern Illinois University and a graduate of Columbia University.

Wayne Trapp has been making and exhibiting sculpture for more than 30 years.  From his studio in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Boone, NC, he created works for many universities including Duke, University of Virginia and Ohio State.  Grounds for Sculpture, Mint Museum and Hunter Museum own his work.  Recently in Florida, his work has been at Polk Museum of Art Outdoor Sculpture Show in Lakeland and can still be seen at the Waterplace condominium in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Celeste Roberge is an associate professor for sculpture at the University of Florida.  She has won several prestigious awards from the State of Florida, Pollack-Krasner Foundation, MacDowell Artist Colony and Skowhegan School.   Recent exhibitions include DeCordova Sculpture Park outside Boston and galleries at the universities of Florida, Miami and FAU.  “Coquina” was exhibited at the Gulf Coast Museum of Art.

Chris Fennell grew up in Florida and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida before starting his artistic career in 2000.  The drama and engineering of his “Tree Waves” caught the eye of curators through on the US.  He is currently working on his first two permanent artworks in St. Petersburg and Cleveland.  His “Tree Wave” in Winter Park last winter won second place in the competition.  He earned a Master of Fine Arts at the University of Georgia in 2002.

Jorge Segui was born and educated in Buenos Aires, Argentina and established his international reputation while living for 20 years in Caracas, Venezuela.  His work has been exhibited worldwide and his work is owned by museums in Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, Venezuela, Spain and the USA, including Boca Raton.  After he became an American resident in 1995, the Coral Springs Museum of Art honored him with a solo exhibition in 1997.  He has been a resident of Coral Springs since 1999.

Robert Cole’s studio is in the nation’s capital where he continues to make new work after a diverse 40-year career as a sculptor and designer in metal.  Permanent public art works can be seen in the Washington DC area including the Metro.   He won the gold medal at the Florence Biennale in Italy in 2003.  In 2006, he exhibited at Damian B gallery in Miami.

James Burnes is a young artist who earned his Skidmore College degree in Studio Art in 1997.  In the last two years, his work in cor-ten steel and wood won the People’s Choice award in Polk Museum of Art Outdoor Sculpture show in Lakeland, Florida, Honorable Mention in the North Charleston Sculpture Competition and recognition by the Santa Fe Reporter as an emerging artist to watch in New Mexico.

Micajah Bienvenu works from an island between Seattle and Vancouver and has exhibited in all the major Seattle area sculpture exhibitions.  He uses 3D-modeling computer software, plasma cutters and traditional welding and grinding by hand.  Coral Springs will be his first exhibition of his large stainless steel forms in the Southeast USA.
