A no-fee approval is required before painting exterior trim and walls and may be obtained by bringing paint samples for review to Community Development. There are a wide variety of approved main, secondary and trim colors available, which must be compatible with the roof.
If you get a Coral Springs parking citation, you should follow the instructions on the citation. You may pay the fine by mailing the amount in the mailer envelope provided or by visiting any Broward County Courthouse (see Courthouses).

Commercial and recreational vehicles may not be parked in residential areas between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday. Restricted vehicles include commercial vans and trucks, motorhomes, campers, boats, trailers, utility and off-road vehicles. Exceptions are made for:
- Vehicles parked in a garage or carport, providing the carport screens the vehicle from view on three sides utilizing a wall, fence or hedge at least four feet in height
- Vehicles owned by a physically handicapped person and marked with an appropriate disabled sticker
- Vans or trucks weighing less than 5,000 lbs. with no commercial lettering, used only for private passengers

The City’s largest community park offers a variety of rental options and
features a tot lot, gazebos, barbecue grills, shuffleboard, a pool, horseshoe pits, tennis and basketball courts, as well as fields for soccer, baseball, and softball. This is a great location for pre/post game picnics or parties.

Adjacent to Orchid Park, Cypress Park offers large pavilions, grills, a nature trail, a tot lot, tennis courts and a unique clover-leaf pool with water park features and slides, all surrounded by a beautiful Cypress Hammock. Rentals and party packages at Cypress Water Park are also available.
Sherwood Forest, 1600 N.W. 91 Ave.
The perfect spot for a company picnic. Sherwood Forest features large
pavilions and grills, as well as fountains, electrical service, horseshoe pit,
volleyball, a tot lot and a handicapped trail surrounded by a beautiful
wooded area.
North Community Park, 5601 Coral Springs Drive
Features a pavilion, baseball and soccer fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, half-court basketball, playground, and a walking/jogging path.

An ideal location for family picnics, featuring pavilions, grills, basketball,
volleyball, Slide ‘n Glide playground, the Coral Springs Skate Park, an open play area, three athletic fields and a walking and jogging path.

Volunteer Park, 5000 Creekside Drive
Features a natural setting, walking path, playground, tennis court, half

Neighborhood Parks: Kiddie Land, Poinciana, Lakeview, Whispering Oaks, Pride Promoters, Kiwanis, and Lions parks are all great for picnics and are available on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.

This highly participatory program sponsored by the Coral Springs Police Department is for men and women, ages 16-21, who have an interest in law enforcement and basic police work. Explorers learn professional police skills such as communications and first aid from police officers who act as mentors.
Residents can hire police officers for off-shift security or traffic details. The fee is $26 per hour, per officer. Call the Special Detail Office for a permit.

first-class swimming and training facility in South Florida with its 50-meter and 25-meter competition pools with a heating and cooling system, a diving well equipped for spring board and platform diving, an acclimation pool, and a 35’ x 66’ teaching pool. The Aquatic Complex also features a 7,500-square-foot Fitness Center.

Cypress Pool comforts residents with its 84 degree temperature year round. It features a unique clover-shape, non-competitive swimming pool and a new water park featuring spouting fountains, water cannons and slides.
