Starting October 9, 2021, and every second Saturday of the month through March 2022, participants in the program will learn about wildlife, plant species and conservation while visiting various parks and preserves throughout Coral Springs.

The program is open to all ages. Space is limited to 10 people per group. Three groups will be available per date. Registration is required.

October 9 - Tall Cypress Park

Learn about the importance of conservation areas such as Tall Cypress, while possibly encountering nocturnal creatures.

  • Event Location: Tall Cypress Park (3700 Turtle Run Blvd)  
  • Event Time: 7 to 9 p.m.

November 13 - Red Lichen Sanctuary

At Red Lichen Sanctuary, participants will enjoy 13.9 acres of green space and learn about planting native species.

December 11 - Sandy Ridge Sanctuary

Visitors to Sandy Ridge Sanctuary will  experience natural Florida as it once looked. The sanctuary includes several different ecosystems including uplands and wetlands and is home to a  wide variety plant and animal species including the state protected gopher tortoise.

January 8 - Sawgrass Nature Center

Come explore you local nature center, Sawgrass Nature Center and Wildlife Hospital. Participants will get an up-close experience with a variety of native and nonnative animals, including our local pollinator species and learn why they are important and how we can protect them.

February 12 - Community Garden

Come visit the Rotary Community Garden and Food Forest of Coral Springs. Participants will learn about food forests and their benefits, visit the memorial garden, and learn how you can grow your own veggies, herbs and flowers in a sustainable way.

  • Event Location: 2915 Sportsplex Drive (parking will be available at Dog Park)

March 12 - Atlantic Trailhead
