Lynne Martzall

Lynne Martzall was promoted to serve as the City of Coral Springs Director of Communications and Marketing in December 2019.

Martzall is an award-winning public relations and marketing professional specializing in government and public safety communications. Prior to joining the City of Coral Springs in January 2014, Martzall served as the External Affairs Manager for the Broward Sheriff’s Office, where she was responsible for communication strategies for Broward County’s 1.8 million residents.

Martzall oversees the city’s communication strategies including digital content, website development, broadcast, social media outreach and management, creative services, photography, videography, city-run event planning and sponsorship opportunities. Martzall specializes in crisis communication, creative writing and serves as the city’s spokesperson.

The National Association of County Information Officers, Association for Women in Communications, Florida Crime Prevention Association, National Sheriffs’ Association and Public Relations Society of America have recognized Martzall for her work in communications and marketing. She is an active member of the Florida Municipal Communications Association, the South Florida Media Coalition and 3CMA. Martzall is a two-time Emmy and Telly Award recipient, earning recognition in 2021 and 2022.

Martzall attended Briarcliffe College in New York and graduated from Nova Southeastern University’s Executive Leadership Program. She has presented on public relations and crisis communication to organizations that include the Florida City and County Management Association, the Florida League of Mayors, the Florida Municipal Communications Association and the Florida Crime Prevention Association.
