The Mission of the Historical Advisory Committee is to actively collect, preserve and present memorabilia relating to all aspects of the history of Coral Springs. To foster a sense of community spirit and encourage citizen involvement and pride in the City’s heritage. There are currently two Historic Landmarks in Coral Springs: the Museum of Coral Springs History and Historic Covered Bridge. Both landmarks are recognized by Broward County and the State of Florida. In unison with the City of Coral Springs, the HAC proudly maintains and preserves these properties for public enjoyment.
This small proactive group has a passion for preserving and promoting historical information. Several members are long-time residents, some that date back to the 1970s, providing a great deal of information. We welcome new members with varying backgrounds and years of residency. Applicants are required to attend two meetings, to judge the right fit on both sides. Members are required to attend six meetings per year and dedicate twenty hours to historical projects.
Meetings are held on the second Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. currently in an online format.
