District Chief Eduardo Lopez of  C-Shift

Eduardo Lopez currently serves as the District Chief of C-Shift for the Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department. Lopez started his career with the department as a Firefighter/Paramedic in September 1996. During his tenure, he has moved up the ranks and was promoted to Lead Paramedic in August 1998, Driver/Engineer in 2000, Lieutenant in 2003, and Battalion Chief in 2007.

Lopez holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from St. Thomas University and an associate degree in fire science from Broward Community College. Lopez was the liaison between the City of Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Department and the Urban Search & Rescue (USAR) Task Force II team for 15 years. Lopez was a member of the USAR team for 18 years and held the position of Safety Officer. Lopez was also part of the dive team and the Honor Guard from its inception until 2007, has served as a Field Training Officer, and is a current member of the Promotional Division. Chief Lopez was also selected as the 2008 Supervisor of the Year.
