Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.)

Contact Name:
Assistant Fire Marshal Larry Archacki
Team Commander Mike DiTocco

The Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.) program helps train people to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their communities. When emergencies happen, C.E.R.T. members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. C.E.R.T. members can also help with non-emergency projects that help improve the safety of the community. Coral Springs C.E.R.T. is a group of volunteers who are trained by the Coral Springs Fire Department in C.P.R., First Aid, and Triage. In the event a natural disaster or emergency situation should occur and the fire and police departments are delayed for hours or days, C.E.R.T. members can provide care and first aid for those in need. Coral Springs C.E.R.T. members are also active with the fire and police departments to help when they need extra manpower to search for missing persons, specifically children. We are an all volunteer division of the Coral Springs Fire Department.

Meeting Dates:
After initial training - typically the third Monday of every month.
