Songs of the Inspired Soul

As the 25th Yartziet (anniversary of passing) of the Lubavitcher Rebbe approaches, the Chabad Centers of Coral Springs are uniting to host an exceptional and inspirational program, highlighting a remarkable legacy left by the Rebbe.

Though known far more for his written and spoken word, the Rebbe also left a legacy of melodies, each accompanied with a story and message he would share as he taught them. The melodies have come to embody the Rebbe’s message in the way only music can: direct, powerful, and arresting. Together they tell the story of the soul’s yearning for something higher, as well as the recognition that sometimes the highest endeavor is to be found in this mundane world.

On Sunday June 23rd, six of these melodies - together with their stories- will be brought to life with a multimedia presentation and String Quartet led by master violinist Asy Titensky. The hand-picked quartet will include members of the Palm beach Opera, Palm Beach Symphony and the Florida Grand Opera.

As Rabbi Yankie Denburg says: “This will be a powerful and poignant experience in which words and melody intermingle; you will hear the music in the story, and the story in the music.

Indeed, there is an ancient Chassidic saying that states, “If words are the quill of the mind, then melody is the quill of the soul.” On June 23rd, these two quills will dip into the same well of ink.

This unique evening honoring the Rebbe will inspire and move you, through film and a live musical performance. Whether or not you have heard these melodies before, you are sure to be stirred by these tunes that come from a place so surreal and yet somehow all so familiar.

Doors will open at 7:00 pm with drinks and a dessert reception. Program begins at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at or at 954-501-8920.

Tickets are $20 per person in advance or $25 at the door. To be an event sponsor (includes 2 front row seats) is $180.
