After a boisterous lead in to Commission Chambers by the Coral Springs Charter School Drum Line, and a beautiful rendition of the National Anthem, performed by the school’s Choir, Commissioner Dan Daley honored the school with a Certificate of Recognition. Of the honor, Daley said, “We are proud to recognize the City of Coral Springs Charter School as they celebrate 20 years of outstanding achievements in academics, sports, arts, business and technology. The quality education provided to our students is evident in the success of its alumni and signature programming.” Daley added, Congratulations on 20 years as the City’s premier academic institution.”

On hand to accept the recognition was Principal Gary Springer, joining him were several teachers who have been with the school since opening its doors 20 years ago. Acknowledging the significance of the anniversary, Springer remarked, “This kicks off the celebration of our 20th year serving the students of Coral Springs. Considering this City’s 55 years of rich history, and the existence of our school for 20 of those years, it proves the significant footprint we have made in this community.  On behalf of the faculty and students, we are thankful for the commitment of the City of Coral Springs and Charter Schools USA.” Springer went on to say he and his staff are humbled by the recognition. Crediting the teachers and administrators for making a tremendous impact on thousands of lives. Springer highlighted the culture of the school, saying, “We would not be who are without our students, we have incredible students, they are 1,670 strong in grades 6-12. The culture they create, especially for new students, fostering positive relationships is something I am very proud of.”
