Nominations Now Open for 2020 Business Excellence Awards

The City of Coral Springs will recognize outstanding achievements of Coral Springs businesses.

2020 Business Awards Program - Man giving woman a certificate of excellence in businessEach year, the City of Coral Springs formally recognizes, and honors businesses located within the municipal boundaries, who have exemplified a commitment to the economic vitality of the City, with the Business Excellence Awards.

Are you an innovative, growing business in Coral Springs? Do you know of a business with quality products or a company that has made significant contributions to our community? The Economic Development Office is now accepting applications for the 2020 Business Excellence Awards. Anyone is eligible to make a nomination. Those wishing to nominate a business should visit the Coral Springs Economic Development website at www.coralspringsedo.com, to review the criteria and submit a nomination.

The 2019 Awards Winners* included: Cruise Planners, Doris Italian Market, First Data, Green Thumb Lawn and Garden, Nothing Bundt Cakes and School of Rock Coral Springs. The 2019 winners were honored and recognized with a reception and a plaque earlier this year during the City Commission meeting. Each business was selected based on longevity, business growth, contributions to charity, and the betterment of the Coral Springs community. Individual success stories will be featured in a video series used to promote positive business growth and featured on social media and the website at www.coralspringsedo.com.

The Economic Development Office (EDO) is committed to ensuring “Business is Brighter” in Coral Springs by retaining local business and attracting new business. * The Business Recognition Program was created for the purpose of giving formal recognition to Coral Springs businesses that have contributed to the economic well-being of the City and have demonstrated a commitment to the vitality of Coral Springs’s business climate.

A 21-year public relations professional, Lynne served as the Public Relations manager for the Broward Sheriff’s Office – the nation’s third largest public safety agency until 2013, where she managed crisis communication, media outreach and the promotion of public safety initiatives . During her tenure she served as the editor for Signal 14 – quarterly full-color magazine for residents and employees.
