Coral Springs Police Make an Arrest in Early Morning Homicide Case
On November 23, 2019, at approximately 5:55am, Coral Springs Police responded to 1659 NW 100th Drive, in Coral Springs, reference someone reporting an unknown female was dead in her driveway. Officers found the victim identified as Daniela Tabares Maya, 21, of Coral Springs, deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
Coral Springs Police detectives conducted an investigation and determined the initial 911 caller identified as Yvonne Serrano, 51, of Coral Springs, shot and killed the victim in the early morning hours of November 23, 2019. Serrano was arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence and Murder in the 2nd Degree. She was subsequently transported to Broward County Jail.
