Steve Frey

FreySteve_150Assistant Fire Chief Steve Frey began his service with the Coral Springs – Parkland Fire Department in 1982, as a volunteer. Throughout his 37 years with the department, he has held the rank of Lieutenant, Captain, Fire Inspector and was promoted to Assistant Chief in 2000, where he is currently assigned as Shift Commander for A Shift. Together with the Fleet Committee, he is responsible for the design, construction oversight, and delivery and fleet integration of all department vehicles.

Chief Frey also serves as liaison with the city’s Police and Fire Communications Center and develops and maintains the Response Matrix for all units, as well as all mapping used by the department. Additionally, he is an instructor with the Coral Springs Fire Academy and the Lead Instructor for all Physical Ability Tests.
