Captain Mock began his career with the Coral Springs Police Department in 1998. He served as a Patrol officer until 2004, at which time he was transferred to the Tactical and Gang Unit where he spent 3 years as a Tactical and Gang Officer.
In 2007, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. As a Sergeant, he supervised Patrol, the Tactical and Gang Unit and the K-9 Unit. In January 2010, he was promoted to Lieutenant, where he supervised Patrol until July of 2010, when he was promoted to Captain.
He has also been a member of the Special Weapons And Tactics Team since 2000 and currently holds the position of Commander. He currently serves as Captain of the Criminal Investigations Component, consisting of General Investigations, Special Victims Unit and Crimes against Persons Unit.
Captain Mock graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He holds memberships to the National Tactical Officers Association, Florida SWAT Association, Florida FBI National Academy Associates and Florida Police Chiefs Association.
