T.R.I.A.D represents a three-way commitment of the senior and retired people within our community, the Coral Springs Police Department and the Broward County Sheriff's Office. They have agreed to work together to reduce criminal victimization of the elderly and enhance the delivery of law enforcement services.
A major purpose of T.R.I.A.D is to develop, expand and implement effective crime prevention input for seniors with emphasis on educating them before they become victims. T.R.I.A.D works locally through the Coral Springs Seniors and Law Enforcement Together Council (S.A.L.T).
The S.A.L.T Council is an advisory group to the Coral Springs Police Department that carries out T.R.I.A.D activities regarding crime and security issues. The Council discusses problems and concerns of mature adults, assesses the availability and effectiveness of existing initiatives and recommends additional strategies as needed. All Coral Springs residents and business representatives are urged to participate in S.A.L.T.
