The Crime Scene Investigations Unit is a civilian support Unit within the Criminal Investigations Component of the Police Department. The Crime Scene Investigations Unit is responsible for crime scene processing, fingerprint identification and video analysis. Presently the unit consists of six Crime Scene Technicians, a Crime Lab Technician and a Latent Fingerprint Examiner. Crime Scene Technicians process approximately 1,000 crime scenes a year, ranging from burglaries to death investigations.
Hours of Operation: 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 a.m. Monday to Friday
12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Sundays
Non-Business Hours: A designated Crime Scene Technician is on call.
Property Released to Owners: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Wednesdays Only
