Community Assisted Patrol is a volunteer program developed to meet the changing needs of the community and further promote the city's philosophy on Community Oriented Policing.
The mission of Community Assisted Patrol is to work in conjunction with and at the direction of the Coral Springs Police Department, and support the Department and the community in the reduction of crime and improving the overall quality of life for its residents. This is accomplished by patrolling City streets, parks, and commercial areas in specially marked vehicles to act as an extra set of eye for the Police Department. Observation is the primary purpose of the C.A.P. volunteer.
Participants in the Community Assisted Patrol must first complete the Department’s Citizens’ Police Academy.
