The Utilities Division is the largest provider of water and sewer services within the City of Coral Springs. The mission of the Utility is to provide a reliable and safe water supply that is adequate for all customer needs including fire protection, and to ensure that wastewater is collected and disposed of properly in accordance with all regulations and standards as set forth by the Environmental Protection Agency, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Broward County Health Department and the Broward County Environmental Protection Department.
The Division’s Core Process is to perform management, administration, and support for the daily operation of water treatment, water plant maintenance, water distribution, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment. Provides engineering services by reviewing, approving water, sewer, paving and drainage plans for compliance with City Engineering Standards; review and approve right-of-way permits for engineering improvements and connections to the City’s utility systems; provides engineering inspections on Capital Projects; assists in the development review committee (DRC) reviews of engineering designs to ensure designs meet all applicable City codes and regulations.
Provides engineering inspection on capital projects, right-of-way permits (including driveways) and developer-provided infrastructure.
