No Solid waste and recycling collection on Christmas Day.

On the first scheduled collection days after Christmas (December 26, 27 and 28), Waste Pro will collect excess residential garbage in heavy duty bags or garbage cans placed with the green carts. This special excess waste collection only applies for these three days.

Did you know that large cardboard and excess boxes can be stacked and placed out for collection with your bulk waste?

Large cardboard and excess boxes stacked together may be placed for collection with the bulk waste (on the first collection day of the week). A cardboard drop-off site will be located on Coral Springs Drive near the Coral Springs Gymnasium, from December 22 - December 31, 2018 (holiday gift trash only).

Some tips are:

  • Recycle all the paper (including wrapping paper and boxes), cans, bottles, and other recyclables in the BLUE CART.

  • Large cardboard and excess boxes stacked together may be placed for collection with the bulk waste (on the first collection day of the week).

  • Christmas trees may be placed for collection with the bulk waste (on the first collection day of the week) or brought to the Waste Transfer Station on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons.

  • Old electronics (computers, televisions, etc.) may be recycled at the Waste Transfer Station Saturday, January 5, 2019 or the first Saturday of the month. On the first scheduled collection days after Christmas (December 26, 28 and 29), Waste Pro will collect excess residential garbage in heavy duty bags or garbage cans placed with the green carts. This special excess waste collection only applies for these three days. Multi-family complexes or businesses that require additional collections should make arrangements in advance by calling Waste Pro at 954-282-6800.

Christmas Tree Recycling

ChristmasTreeDisposalCoral Springs residents may bring their Christmas Trees to the City’s Waste Transfer Station any weekend (Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Sunday noon to 5 p.m., place them with regular yard waste collection (their first collection day of the week). All materials will be recycled.

The Waste Transfer Station at 12600 Wiles Rd. is open normal weekend schedule Saturdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. The station accepts bulk trash, yard waste and source separated recyclables during normal operating hours. This service is free to Coral Springs residents with an I.D. and address verification (driver’s license and a water/cable bill, vehicle registration, insurance card or voter registration with Coral Springs address).

This service is free to Coral Springs residents with an I.D. and address verification (driver’s license and a water/cable bill, vehicle registration, insurance card or voter registration with Coral Springs address).

    PLEASE NOTE:
  • No commercial waste, raw garbage, animal waste, tires, batteries, paint or other household hazardous waste (exception: certain hazardous waste on select days - see Hazardous Waste).

  • Waste may be brought to the Transfer Station in your car, passenger van (no larger than a 7-person size), pick up trucks (with beds no larger than 4’ x 8’), or trailers (with beds no larger than 4’ x 12’ x 3’). Rental vehicles need to fit the size restrictions and fill out a Rental Vehicle Access Form before the Friday of the weekend they plan to drop off items.

PLEASE NOTE: Waste Transfer Station will be open on MLK Holiday - Monday, January 21 for any resident who wants to drop off bulk trash, including appliances, furniture, carpeting, and any recyclable materials.
